Fred Timberlake

Fred has more than 35 years of experience as a financial and operational leader in a variety of industries, including Fortune 500-sized publicly traded firms and privately owned businesses. Additionally, Fred has a wealth of expertise working with nonprofit institutions including social service groups and schools for the wealthy. He has held positions such as chief financial officer, chief executive officer, divisional controller, vice president, and executive director.

Fred finished the Executive Fellows MBA at Rockhurst University, which is home to one of the best MBA schools in the country. The largest Headstart programme in Missouri chose Fred to lead a group of cohorts in a corporate community service initiative. Fred was chosen by his peers. The organization's key needs were identified as part of this consulting project, which also created a strategic plan to meet them and helped the business successfully implement solutions. Fred received an Outstanding Service Award upon graduation as a consequence of his leadership.

Most of Fred's life has been spent in the Kansas City region. Carla, his wife of more than 40 years, and he are involved in the neighborhood's church and community. Additionally an Eagle Scout, Fred has visited Philmont twice and held a number of leadership positions within the Scouting movement. As board treasurer and a member of the executive team, Fred also served on a school board for nearly ten years.

Three adult children and nine grandchildren belong to Fred and Carla. His two kids also hold master's degrees and work in the private sector. His daughter is a teacher and is married to a pastor. Since Carla is a native of Colorado's Western Slope, Fred and Carla take annual trips there and participate in outdoor activities including hiking, 4WDing, and sightseeing. Fred likes to work on various home improvement projects and spend time outside.

Professional Accomplishments:
Led financial turnaround of 3 mid sized non profits ending years of significant losses to continual significant surplus. Successfully raised $8.6M from a major donor. Also raised $5.4M in CARES Act funding. Restructured Human Resources Department to comply with regulatory requirements as well as to improve employee morale through pro-active employee engagement programs. Restructured financial reporting to comply with Medicaid Cost Reporting for Behavior Health Facilities. As business advisor, guided underground heavy construction company to achieve 100% increase in revenue by strategically increasing capacity.
