Mickel is known for founding one of the largest organizations in the Caribbean. He is an entrepreneur and operational manager with nine years of experience creating and managing sustainable organizations in the private and public sector. He has raised over $8M for his philanthropy endeavors and funded work in five countries, targeting and reaching 60,000 annually.
His knowledge crosses broad areas of operations management and sustainable growth for businesses. Working across the private and public sectors has given him a multi-disciplinary approach to business management. Working in the tumultuous environment of developing nations has instilled a unique toolset for growing organizations and increasing funding resources in often hostile circumstances.

Mickel obtained a BSc. In Psychology from the College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago. Certification in nonprofit management earned from Caribbean Policy Development Centre, and certification for event management earned from TT Hospitality and Tourism Institute.
